VIBRATIONS • Gonna Be Alright – 9/20/26

Sometimes the greatest comfort is simply knowing someone is there. Job’s friends sat with him for seven days before they ever spoke. Their presence said, “I’m here with you.” That is a picture of what the Holy Spirit does for us. He comforts us from the inside and reminds us that we are not alone. When the enemy points to our failures and tries to convince us that we are worthless, the Holy Spirit reminds us, “You are a child of God.”

There are also times when we are so overwhelmed that we do not know what to pray. The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness and intercedes for us. He takes our groanings and sighs and brings them before God. We may ask God to change our circumstances, but the Holy Spirit helps us trust that God’s will is greater than what we can see. God is not simply trying to make our lives easier; He is conforming us to the image of Jesus.

Whatever season you are in today, remember that the Holy Spirit is with you. He comes alongside you, comforts you, guides you, and reminds you, “You are a child of God.” You may not understand what God is doing right now, but you can trust that He is working, even if you can’t see it. The winter will not last forever, and God can use even the difficult seasons to do some of His best work in you. Lean into the Holy Spirit and allow Him to comfort, encourage, and help you through whatever you are facing

Scriptures—John 4:15 (JUB); Job 2:11-13 (GNT); Romans 8:15-16 (NKJV); John 1:12(ESV); Romans 8:26-27 (NLT); Romans 8:28-20 (NRSVUE)

Verses— (…and I will ask the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever. (Jn 14:16) But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, (Jn 1:12) And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will. (Ro 8:26-27)

Questions— What does it mean to know that the Holy Spirit is your Comforter and is with you in the middle of your struggles? How does knowing that you are a child of God change the way you view your failures, disappointments, or difficult seasons? Have you ever experienced a time when you did not know what to pray? How does it encourage you to know that the Holy Spirit intercedes for you?

Prayer – Dear Lord, thank you for the assurance of your presence in my life and for the comfort of the Holy Spirit. Help me to stand strong in all the seasons of life knowing that you are in me and with me assuring me of your love and of my value as a child of God. Help me to trust your plan even when it isn’t the path I choose or desire. May I rest in your hands allowing your transforming power to make me more and more like Jesus. In Jesus’ Name I pray, amen.
